According to this survey by emarketer.com potential customers that watch video advertisements are much more likely to purchase that product than customers who don’t. It also found that over 50% of potential customers feel much more reassured about the product they are about to purchase after watching a video about the product. Putting a moving visual image or a testimonial together with the product helps to make a potential customer more connected with a product.
Other interesting figures from this survey show that 66% of people who watch the online video more than once will buy something sooner or later.
So it seems it does pay to make interesting videos that stand out from the rest!
